Our Community Services and Integration Support grew from kitchen-table conversations with newly arrived families who felt lost in new systems yet determined to build a stable life. They would say, "We just need someone to sit with us and show us the way." That is exactly what we do.
We help Somali and East African community members understand how to access housing, healthcare, schools, language classes, and legal and social services. Staff and volunteers who speak their language make phone calls, attend appointments, and explain paperwork step by step, turning confusing processes into something manageable.
Alongside this practical help, we create spaces where people can keep their culture strong: parenting workshops that respect tradition, youth sessions that talk openly about identity and belonging, and gatherings where elders share wisdom while learning about local laws and opportunities.
Families tell us that after connecting with our program, they feel less alone and more confident speaking up for themselves. Over time, neighbors become friends, parents feel more in control of their children's future, and community members move from simply surviving in a new place to feeling rooted and valued.
